Why I Always Recommend Premium Paint Over Standard Brands
Clients ask: “Is the extra cost worth it?” Absolutely—here’s why, from real projects.
Standard/commercial Israeli paints:
Coverage ≈8–10 m²/liter per coat → effective ~4–5 m²/liter for two coats.
Premium high-quality paint: Coverage ≈10–12 m²/liter per coat → effective ~5–6 m²/liter for two coats (often hides better in fewer coats).
Extra material cost per m² (two coats): Only 7–10 NIS more.
For a 100 m² job: Just 700–1,000 NIS extra upfront.
What you gain:
• Superior coverage → fewer coats, less labor/touch-ups
• Smoother application → flows evenly, fewer marks, faster work
• Richer, uniform finish → visible difference from day one
• Better flexibility → bridges hairline cracks, holds up longer
• Stronger resistance to mold, humidity, water → crucial in our climate
• Wider color/finish options
Premium isn’t luxury—it’s smart investment.
High-quality formulations (higher titanium dioxide pigments, advanced binders) yield 8–12+ years of durability vs. 3–6 for standards and fewer repaints mean long terms savings.
